Offer Descriptionis seeking to recruit a candidate for the position of Senior Lecturer in Technology for Safety and Risk Management. The position should be filled on November 1, 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter for a fixed term of five years.The duties of the Senior Lecturer are related to the upcoming engineering study programme in Technology for Safety and Risk Management, which will start in the Autumn of 2026. The duties include planning and teaching courses under safety and security themes, as well as supervising theses and developing educational and research-based cooperation with companies and authorities. Once the program is operating effectively, the position may include research and graduate training in areas within the remit of the engineering program. On agreement, the position may be affiliated with the Department of Physics, Chemistry or Biological and Environmental Science.Who we are looking forWe require the applicant to have a doctoral degree in an applicable field (chemistry, physics, biosciences, technology) and broad expertise in safety and security acquired through education or work experience. Teaching experience, experience in curriculum planning and pedagogical training are of importance. Experience in safety-related work (for example in CBRNE areas), collaboration with industry and the public sector or research and development work in relevant areas are appreciated. Evidence of networks and a broad view of the technologies relevant for safety are considered an advantage.The duties, qualification requirements and language skills of senior lecturer are stipulated by .
