You would be part of our Legal Business Development & Group Functions team. You are curious, have an outstanding ability to build and maintain relationships and are willing to learn and co-create with a team.You will be based at the Roche headquarters in Basel as a member of our global team of attorneys who support Roche’s business development transactions (mergers & acquisitions, licensing, venture investments) and group functions (including corporate law, employment law, IT, finance and procurement). We support a broad range of business partners with a focus on making a difference for patients with cutting-edge technologies in research, development and commercialization of innovative medicines and diagnostics.The Opportunity:Leading M&A projects in a deal team together with the colleagues of our Corporate Business Development function and taking responsibility for the overall legal workstream from due diligence, negotiation to implementation of transactionsOpenness to work and grow on a broader range of topics in the area of business development, corporate and finance, including licensing, venture fund, financing and investment transactionsLegal expert who serves as a strategic advisor and partner to the businessFoster strong relationships with our business partners, develop and recommend innovative solutions to complex legal and business issues, hands-on and pragmaticProvide legal training regarding various topics of relevance to and in support of business needsCollaboratively work together with people from many geographies and culturesWho You Are:Attorney with bar admission/bar examExcellent communication skills in English (oral and written)Expertise in working on M&A transactions and excellent drafting skillsExperience in competition law and Swiss corporate law, experience in licensing transactions would be a distinguishing factorAbility to proactively and independently identify and manage legal issues and risksPrior work exposure to life science industry or other highly regulated industries is preferred but not requiredSounds like your next career step?
