- Prepare both scheme and detailed mechanical designs from feasibility through to site support, ensuring all designs meet the high standards and regulations required for critical systems.
- Collaborate closely with a team of expert engineers across various disciplines, fostering an environment of teamwork and innovation.
- Progress towards greater responsibility and autonomy as you develop professionally, with opportunities to lead projects and mentor junior engineers.
- Engage in managing the delivery of technically excellent, profitable projects, focusing on efficiency and client satisfaction.
Skills Required:
- Educational Background: A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng, BEng, or equivalent), with a strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and HVAC systems.
- Experience: Previous role within a Data Centre/Critical Systems and Building Services context, demonstrating a track record of successful project completion and client management.
- Creative Design Solutions: Proven ability to deliver innovative design solutions, prepare specifications and project reports, with a focus on sustainability and energy efficiency.
- Site Inspections: Capability in carrying out thorough site inspections and surveys, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English are vital due to the collaborative and client-focused nature of this role. Ability to articulate complex technical details to non-experts is essential.
- Problem Solving: Ability to use initiative to overcome challenges is essential, with a keen analytical mind that drives continuous improvement in design practices.
