Can you generate attention and engagement around important initiatives that create change for children and youth globally?SOS Børnebyerne in Copenhagen is looking for an experienced funding manager who will play a vital role in building a strong foundation for growing SOS Børnebyerne’s international programme portfolio and funding from institutional donors.As our new colleague, you will be part of our International Programme Department and you will join a dynamic and dedicated team with high work spirits and ethics, in an informal, collaborative and positive work environment. You will also work closely with colleagues from SOS-organizations around the world, especially in East Africa and Southeast Asia.Key Responsibilities

• Identify and maintain relationships with potential donors, including private foundations and relevant government agencies.
• Lead the development and submission of high-quality and competitive project proposals to institutional donors in close collaboration with colleagues in our Programme, MEAL and Finance teams.
• Ensure that project design processes are inclusive and aligned with a Human Rights Based Approach.
• Maintain and nurture donor relationships through regular communication and engagement activities.

Who are you?

• Minimum eight years of relevant work experience.
• Solid work experience with institutional donors and/or complex partnership management in a not-for-profit organization, international organization, foundation, or similar.
• Experience and proven track record in securing grants and/or institutional funding.
• Strong understanding of programme development, intervention logic and the ability to match these with the requirements and strategies of institutional donors.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Experience of fundraising for humanitarian action is desirable.
• Working proficiency in a second language is seen as a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 30 days annually.
• Holding a valid work and residence permit to Denmark or EU-residency
