We are supporting a multi-national client in hiring a Senior R&D Engineer for a 12 month contract. This role will support the design, development, and commercialization of innovative medical devices. Based in Galway, you’ll work cross-functionally to turn research into real-world solutions that improve patient care.Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of medical devices from concept to launch
• Troubleshoot technical issues and support problem resolution
• Conduct and manage studies to support product development
• Translate research findings into manufacturable solutions
• Collaborate with clinical, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing teams
• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field
• 4+ years of relevant experience in medical device R&D
• Strong design, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience with regulated environments (e.g. ISO 13485, FDA)
• Project management experience is a plus
