ICEYE is a place where your development, your growth and your success is a priority.What will you do in this role?As a Senior Satellite Production Engineer, you will play a key role in the fast-paced, innovative world of satellite production, driving the transition of designs from early-stage R&D into scalable, high-quality manufacturing processes. You will bridge the gap between teams developing cutting-edge satellite technologies and the production line, ensuring that designs move seamlessly into production environments that can support repeated manufacturing with rigorous test coverage.This role is crucial for ensuring that PCBAs, mechanical parts, and system integration processes are both efficient and reliable, providing the technical leadership necessary to maintain high standards while supporting the dynamic nature of the New Space industry. You will work on small satellites and similar platforms, with a focus on rapid prototyping and the iterative improvements required to succeed in this industry.Your expertise in transitioning verification and assembly procedures, typically developed with R&D and prototype purposes in mind, will be essential for transforming these into detailed, productized workflows. You’ll also drive innovation in production automation, using your programming skills in Python, to ensure that the process remains agile, scalable, and highly adaptable.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacturing Process Improvement

Continuously develop, implement, maintain and improve current manufacturing processes including equipment, documentation, tooling/fixtures to optimize quality, productivity and cost. * New Equipment & Process ImplementationPlan, specify, validate and implement new equipment, processes and facilities in manufacturing to support production scaling and quality improvements. * Cross-functional CollaborationCollaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D and production to build standardized yet adaptable workflows that meet the unique challenges of the New Space industry. * Production Tools and Equipment ManagementManage the development and approval of production tools, equipment and JIGs ensuring they meet operational standards for scalable and repeatable manufacturing.RequirementsWhat will you need to be successful in this role?

  • Experience in Agile, Fast-paced Environments

Comfortable and effective in working within agile, dynamic environments where rapid iteration and adaptation are key, particularly in industries like New Space or electronics manufacturing. * 5+ Years of Experience in Manufacturing at ScaleAt least 5 years of experience in managing manufacturing processes at scale, with a track record of driving continuous improvement and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. * Educational BackgroundA Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Electronics, Electromechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related technical field is required. Advanced degrees or certifications in these areas are a plus. * Adaptability in Dynamic EnvironmentsComfortable with the dynamic nature of innovative environments, where priorities can shift frequently and the ability to adapt quickly is crucial. * Communication SkillsProficient in English, both written and spoken, to ensure clear communication in a global, cross-functional environment.Benefits
