This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge backend software in a highly collaborative Scrum team environment.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with a cross-functional team to handle end-to-end tasks such as analysis, design, development, test design and automation, deployment, and maintenanceDevelop low-latency, high-throughput backend solutions (JVM, REST API) for a cloud-native, geo-distributed systemContribute to the development of backend software using microservices architectureEngage in Agile development processes, participating in Scrum activities and fostering team productivityOptimize performance, scalability, and maintainability of backend servicesEnsure code quality through reviews, unit tests, and adherence to development standardsMonitor systems in real-time and respond to production issues as neededCreate and maintain technical documentation for the development lifecycleRequirements5+ years of experience in Scala development2+ years of experience with cloud-native server environments such as AWSDemonstrated backend microservice development experience using JVM with any OOP or Functional Programming language with modern service frameworksProficiency in backend software development as part of a professional development teamKnowledge of unit and automated testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and source control systemsStrong communication skills in English – both verbal and written – combined with collaborative and organizational capabilitiesWillingness and ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and practicesNice to haveExperience with Clojure or other functional programming languagesBackground in Java programmingProficiency in designing scalable and performant RESTful APIs for processing large volumes of dataFamiliarity with monitoring tools and managing high traffic APIs, such as Grafana or PrometheusSkills in automated acceptance test creation using tools like Cucumber, RestAssured, etc. (used in CI/CD pipelines)We offer/Benefits
