You will mentor junior engineers, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.What you’ll do at ElektaWould you like to be part of our driven global team, where we aim to attract and invite the best competences to Elekta? We are offering you an exciting opportunity to join our engineering team at Helsinki (Finland), which is currently a team of six members.In this exciting and diverse role, you will actively seek to provide meaningful feedback on product architecture and shaping the future direction of the product.ResponsibilitiesLead the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of the software applications.Oversee all stages of feature development, from initial design through testing, deployment,and support.Actively contribute to and make strategic decisions in design sessions. Mentor juniorengineers in design principles and new technologies.Collaborate with stakeholders to translate user requirements into clear, actionable software requirements and design specifications.Ensure the maintenance of software quality standards through comprehensive documentation, thorough risk analysis, and robust testing methodologies.Work closely with product owner, architect, and shared service teams to efficiently managedependencies and deliver integrated solutions.What you bringBachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, effectively articulating technicalchallenges and solutions to stakeholders.Proven experience in healthcare, medical technology, or another regulated industry,demonstrating a deep understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements.Proficient in modern programming language, with a track record of developing high-qualitysoftware solutions.Experienced in designing and implementing RESTful services, event driven architectures and frontend development. Hands-on experience with infrastructure services and tools, with a strong understanding of their deployment and operational aspects.Experience with Kubernetes and other cloud technologies is highly beneficialWhat You will getIn this role, you will work for a higher purpose; hope for everyone dealing with cancer, and for everyone regardless of where in the world, to have access to the best cancer care.
