This is an opportunity to work at the forefront of technological development and join in shaping the future of society for the better.Web3 Foundation’s SecOps team, which consists of software, DevOps and security engineers, is responsible for designing, implementing, operating and maintaining security systems and services, and defining baselines and best practices across the foundation and the Web3 ecosystem. We are looking for an outstanding Senior Software Engineer to join the SecOps team and work closely with internal and external partners to achieve these goals.Responsibilities

• Design and develop efficient, scalable software interacting with the Polkadot blockchain
• Build and automate infrastructure with an emphasis on security, observability, and reliability of services
• Lead projects and liaise with stakeholders, determine key milestones and ensure that technical solutions match the overarching requirements
• Participate in on-call rotation, failure resolution and post-mortem analysis

Requirements

• Experience with delivering lean, maintainable, production-ready software, with a preference for Typescript and Node.js; familiarity with Rust is a plus
• Experience with DevOps and cloud-native technologies such as containers, Kubernetes, and GitOps.
• Proficient in Linux and familiar with Open Source in general
• Knowledge of security concepts and network protocols, e.g. proxies, SSH, TLS
• Systematic and precise approach to problem solving
• Self-driven team player with a strong sense of ownership
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, incl. the ability to produce clear and concise technical documentation
