Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri)Environmental Conditions Laboratory Setting, OfficeJob DescriptionHow will YOU make an impactWe are currently recruiting a senior software engineer to join our R&D Software team in Vantaa to work with world-renowned Clinical and Industrial Analyzers!The current software team consists of a dozen software engineers working on both existing and upcoming products, but YOU will specifically be part of a new specialized team focusing on sustaining the software of the existing analyzer products on the market.The key parts of the software are a graphical user interface, a laboratory information system network connection, measurement calculation, a SQL database, and control of mechatronic sensors and actuators.What will YOU do

  • Maintain, develop, and unit test application-level software
  • Collaborate with other specialists to define the functional and non-functional requirements
  • Contribute to software architecture, design and interface definition as a team member
  • Write software requirements, architecture and design in compliance with internal standard operating procedures as well as relevant medical device standards

How will YOU get there

  • Minimum 3 years proven track record of designing and building maintainable, secure and robust software.
  • Strong knowledge and experience of C# and .NET Framework (or another object-oriented programming language).
  • Basic concepts of cyber security, DevOps, and SQL databases.
  • Experience or strong interest in configuring Windows based PC images and operating system settings.
  • Basic understanding of Object-Oriented Design Principles (e.g. SOLID) and Gang of Four Design Patterns.
  • Experience working in Agile teams, using Agile development practices (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
  • Proficient English both written and spoken.

Qualifications required:

  • M.Sc. or Bachelor’s Degree in software engineering, computer science, information technology or equivalent.
