Job Title: Senior System AnalystLocation: Vienna, Austria (onsite)Position Type: Full-timeVisa requirement: There is no sponsorship. Must be already resident in Austria. An Austrian/EU Citizen, or RWR+ card, is required.The Senior System Analyst will play a critical role in architecting, implementing, and optimizing complex infrastructure environments. This position requires deep expertise in Linux systems, virtualization, container orchestration, and AI/ML infrastructure, ensuring robust and scalable platforms to support business and research initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure for high availability and performance.Lead the setup and management of containers and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes), including deployment, scaling, and troubleshooting.Oversee hypervisor architecture and operations, ensuring efficient virtualization and resource allocation.Provide technical support for AI and ML applications, including GPU management and workload optimization.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure projects on time and within scope.Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible and Terraform.Manage and optimize software-defined storage solutions (e.g., CEPH).Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices.Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on complex technical issues.Stay current with emerging technologies in infrastructure, virtualization, and AI/ML domains.Expert knowledge ofLinux systems infrastructure setup, operations, practices and optimizationContainers and orchestration / Kubernetes setup and operationsHypervisor architecture and operationsAI and ML application support and GPU managementExperience with:Virtualization, particularly VMware, Proxmox, KVM and QEMU on LinuxSoftware-defined storage, particularly CEPHArtificial Intelligence and Machine Learning infrastructure setup and configurationInfrastructure as Code (IaC) platforms, particularly Ansible and TerraformFamiliarity with:Cisco Unified Computing System (UCS)Hyperconverged InfrastructureCisco fabric interconnect infrastructureNetApp storage administrationWindows based systems administrationCloud services and hybrid environments management.
