Job IntroductionAbout us and projectBratislava-based FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services s. r. o. belongs to the Austrian FREQUENTIS Group (www.frequentis.com), specialized in mission-critical communication and IT solutions, e.g. in air traffic control, defense, public safety, public transport or maritime. When it comes to UTM, Frequentis is a significant member of a group that coordinates R&D activities around the Single European Sky initiative. As part of that initiative, we are participating in multiple R&D projects focused on challenges drones pose to air traffic management. These challenges include for example private drones interfering with commercial air traffic, smaller commercial drones used for parcel delivery and an anticipated shift from manned aircrafts to unmanned aircrafts in commercial aviation. Also, in some of our other business domains we see the need to adapt to and integrate drones, for example to increase the situational awareness of public safety control room operators (police, ambulance and fire agencies).Who We Are Looking For?We are looking for you, if: you are a talented System Engineer with DevOps knowledge; a team player who can work independently and self-reliantly and like to stay ahead of the technology curve.Key Tasks

• Design, build, and implement IT infrastructure from the ground up, including bare metal servers, networking, storage, and cloud environments, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability to support business needs
• Design, implement and maintain automation solutions for deployment, configuration and verification of our products in the infrastructure
• Documentation and analysis of reported incidents and problems
• Performing system audits
• Supporting Product Management with continuous product improvement based on experience gained / feedback from customers
• Supporting transition of delivery project to support phase as well as building up required know how to support handed over solutions

Key QualificationsTechnical Skills and Knowledge

• Profound understanding of IT-infrastructure and networking
• Practical experience with CI/CD, and automation to improve efficiency in day-to-day development
• Experience in the following areas (mandatory):

• Deployment – Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible
• Linux
• Cloud environment installations
• Build containers (Git, Jenkins)

• Skills considered as an advantage, but not disqualifying:

• Azure
• OpenShift (knowing Structure, Log Filter, Policies, building Dashboards)
• Configure Log Agents
• Python, Bash, Ruby
• Zabbix, Postgres, RabbitMQ

Personality requirements and skills

• Professional communication and client relationship skills, even during critical situations and under time pressure
• Precise and thorough documentation abilities
• Strategic thinking
• Proficiency in spoken and written English
• You can integrate yourself into a larger cooperation, follow corporate processes
• HO of 90% acceptable
• Willingness to travel once a week to our headquarters in Vienna, possibility to use a company car (for team meetings/trainings, etc.)
