We currently hold more than 550 patents worldwide, and roughly 44% of them are related to sustainability and clean technology.Role SummaryThe Service Proposal Engineer is responsible for developing cost effective Nutrition and Health (N&H) service proposals which are based on proven methods that meet or exceed customer needs. Proposal Engineers are the bridge between the commercial function, the project delivery team, supply chain and service execution, collaborating across these functions to build a robust proposal deliverable to the customer.The Proposal Engineer may also assist the commercial team to identify technical specifications of customers and to present our solution.The Proposal Engineer will follow all SPXFLOW internal processes and procedures and ensure that the service proposals, which generally includes costs estimates, proposal text and maintenance schedule, are completed in a compliant and timely manner.About your responsibilities at SPX Flow

  • Collaborate closely with the Commercial function to ensure customer requirements are clearly defined and understood, and that a detailed RFQ analysis has been completed as required
  • Understands and follows all SPXFLOW N&H internal governance and proposal approval processes e.g. QIA, LEAF, LOAF
  • Ensure scope is defined clearly and accurately, as required in accordance with customer and corporation request
  • Prepare the detailed costing (equipment & services) using the appropriate tool
  • Build relationships with other internal departments to obtain the necessary sub-quotations or cost estimates
  • Consult subcontractors in accordance with Supply Chain Management IDEF processes and procedures
  • Identify and share all potential risks during governance gates events (cost, scope, KPI’s, etc.)
  • Support completion and review of all documents required for LEAF/LOAF submission
  • Support completion of final quotation document and the associated handover pack
  • Ensure proposals are submitted to internal and external customers in a right and performant timing
  • Logs all cost, price and scope changes between quotation revision.
  • Maintain a strong relationship and trust with Commercial Organization
  • Initiate the Execution Handover meetings
  • Participate on demand to the Execution Kick Off meeting
  • Collect Lessons Learnt feedback from close-up meeting done by the Execution.

About knowledge, skills & abilities required for this role:

  • Knowledge of process categories within Nutrition & Health
  • Knowledge of N&H Industry maintenance activities
  • Technical knowledge and experience in preparing and executing small / medium N&H service proposals
  • Financial awareness and understanding of key cost components and margin build up
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated, good learning ability
  • Strong team player
  • Results oriented
  • Customer focused
  • Demonstrate discretion with confidential information/documents
  • Ability to priorities own work under general guidance
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and professionalism
  • Strong computer skills including expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Fluent in writing, reading, and speaking English. Other Languages such as Danish, French, Spanish and/or German is an advantage
