As a sessional advocate, you will have the flexibility to work around your personal commitments, working on a zero hours basis, starting salary £24,562 per annum, pro rata, hourly rate £ 12.77.The post will primarily focus on Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) DoLs,1.2 DoLs, Independent Health Complaints Advocacy (IHCA), and Care Act Advocacy; however, the advocacy role may be extended as teams diversify into other areas of non-statutory advocacy provision.What we need from youPutting people at the heart of what you do, you will work with people from across our communities. How you work will depend on each individual so the ability to communicate in a variety of ways, verbally and non-verbally, with clients and professionals, is key to success.You may or may not have direct experience of this in your own life, or in another role, or have relevant qualifications but this isn’t a problem as you will receive training to work towards the qualification, if required, once in post. We’re looking for people who are creative, flexible and organised, able to balance direct work with people alongside required administrative tasks.We are looking for people across the South of England, particularly in Wiltshire, Berkshire, Sussex and Kent, but other areas will be considered.
