Install, repair, modify, or maintain diesel engines, fuel systems, hydraulic systems, electrical and electronics systems, and marine powertrains
Carry out maintenance, repair, and servicing of boats and other marine vessels
Replace or repair parts, using hand tools and power tools, including hoists, jacks, wrenches, and screwdrivers
Diagnose mechanical problems with electrical and electronic components, using electrical test equipment
Arrange for maintenance and repair of equipment, machinery, or mechanical devices
Skills:
English – must be able to communicate in English
Knowledge of engine systems
Knowledge of boat systems and components
Knowledge of mechanical principles and their application to marine systems
Always attentive to detail and alert to ensure safety
Ability to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers
Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
Experience:
Experience from shipyards
Education or professional experience in a given position
