Trading is transitioning into a data driven business. High quality data and the agility of the analysis are becoming the differentiator. Power production from renewables in response to weather, capacity limitations across borders, storage optimisation modelling… these are just some of the complex data opportunities we trade on every day.We’re looking for talented people who share our passion for data to join our team and seize these opportunities with us.Team / ProjectThe Data team is responsible for providing business solutions aimed at extracting value from large amounts of data. It covers a broad range of activities such as collecting market data and building related analysis tools, processing of real-time data streams, data governance and machine learning. The role is part of the ENRG Modernization project, a multi-year activity aimed at replacing two core market data systems with a third-party solution. The successful candidate will play a key role in building tools and APIs for integrating the new systems with all the existing applications.Main responsibilities

• Work as a member of the ENRG Modernization project team
• Be responsible for end-to-end delivery of functionality from analysis and solution design through to implementation and release
• Participate in agile processes and ceremonies as part of ongoing delivery
• Mentor and review code of other developers
• Liaise with the main project stakeholders
• Collaborate with other teams such as architects, IT Security, Platform Ops, Data Support to ensure the target system satisfies the companies guidelines and best practices

Required Skills and ExperienceProven experience working with all of

• Strong Microsoft C#.net knowledge (especially in API development) with few years of commercial .net development experience
• Containerized application development and deployment
• Working in Microsoft Azure
• Strong relational database experience with Oracle or SQL Server
• Good development practices such as test automation, IOC, SOLID principles, logging and monitoring.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in market data systems (prices and forward curves)
• Experience working with data add-ins for excel
• Automated continuous integration pipelines including automated deployment
• Agile development (Scrum preferred)
• Azure Dev-Ops (Team Foundation Server) for continuous integration, automated test execution and source code management (TFS GIT)
• Authentication/OAUTH2
• Some web frontend experience
