We help our customers – from the smallest proprietorships to large multinational corporations, and government agencies and public functions – achieve success in their communications with their own customers in matters such as banking, insurance, sales, and digital doctor visits.As a Software Engineer Backend…You will be joining the core backend scrum team consisting of a product owner, a scrum master, a test manager, and several system developers. We are a mixed team with fresh talents as well as members that have been an integral part of the product for over 20 years.You will work collaboratively on developing and maintaining new and existing features and services in our multi-tenant and single-tenant systems implemented primarily in Erlang, with Rust on the near horizon. The work is high-impact and contributes directly to supporting the needs of our customers and the product vision and roadmap. The team has full ownership of the core services with a high level of agency, influence, and ability to steer the direction. Besides the applications implemented in Erlang and Rust, you will get to work with databases such as Riak, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Valkey; message brokers and event streaming based on RabbitMQ and Kafka; build pipelines on GitHub Actions; automation on Linux; observability through structured logging and metrics in Grafana; containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes; and more.Who we’re looking forWe are looking for a backend developer drawn towards secure and reliable distributed systems, and languages such as Erlang and Rust. You are a curiosity-driven self-starter, willing to take ownership of your work, and you strive for high quality. You are bold and willing to challenge the status quo and propose improvements to both processes and systems – something that we value deeply. Previous knowledge of Erlang or Rust is not a hard requirement for the right candidate, but a willingness to embrace and become an expert in these languages over time is required for you to succeed in this role.Your personal competencies:

Your Experience:

• You have a relevant university education and/or work experience

• You are used to work with complex software development in a larger, agile organization

• Development of secure, reliable, and scalable distributed systems

• Experience of long-term product development cycles and management

• You enjoy throwing yourself into new domains and learning the ropes

Nice-to-haves:

• Previous professional experience with Erlang or Rust

• Docker/Kubernetes

• CI/CD

• Database and message brokers

• Microservices and event driven architectures
