At Neo4j, we’re creating a comprehensive and high-performance library of graph algorithms and machine learning methods to achieve just that. This is an opportunity to contribute to innovative technology at the intersection of machine learning and applied graph theory. Our users are primarily data scientists who explore data relationships and structures to uncover insights, develop predictions, and make impactful decisions. You’ll be key in transitioning an innovative product to various cloud environments, empowering customers to detect financial crimes, deliver real-time recommendations, and develop knowledge graph applications.What You’ll Do

• Integrate the Neo4j Graph Data Science (GDS) platform with cloud infrastructure.
• Design and implement software architectures for scale-out computing.
• Collaborate directly with customers to understand their needs and enhance the product.
• Write efficient and scalable Java code with a focus on usability and resilience.
• Use data- and metrics-driven practices to guide decision-making and design.
• Work within a collaborative and supportive team of skilled engineers.
• Identify and integrate new research areas to solve challenging customer problems.

What You’ll Bring

• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience developing software that integrates with SQL databases.
• Familiarity with designing software for performance and scalability.
• 3+ years of professional experience developing production-quality software.
• A creative and proactive approach to problem-solving and innovation.

Nice to Have

• Experience working with cloud databases, especially Snowflake.
• Familiarity with Docker.
• Knowledge of additional programming languages we use, such as Python, Go, or Rust.
• Understanding of graph theory concepts.
• Experience collaborating in a distributed team environment.
