Job DescriptionCalling a hardworking Software Engineer interested in contributing to the development of advanced digital solutions that will craft the future of LEGO® Manufacturing!“Ensure the engineering quality of our LEGO® bricks live up to expectations, so we can continue to provide kids with safe and fun play around the world”.Core ResponsibilitiesCome join as our new Software Engineer and design, build, and implement end-to-end solutions that are used in LEGO® factories all over the world. Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that contributes to the development of software solutions for supporting our shopfloor operations in relation to quality processes. Engineer products with high standards of security and data privacy by implementing and following the LEGO Group security and data privacy principles.
- Build applications that live up to modern standards.
- DevSecOps mentality: “You build it – you run it – you own it” with test automation and CI/CD approach.
- Technical sparring with other Software Engineers within the product team demonstrating eagerness to learn and experiment with an agile approach.
Play your part in our team succeedingThis part of the Digital Technology organization is called the Product Engineering Technology department and provides solutions and technology for the production and engineering areas of the LEGO Group. We support processes from design to finished products.We are a team who develops digital solutions that supports the quality processes in our core product lines (moulding, assembly, decoration, and packing). This includes developing digital products that support core QA processes like inspection plans, non-confirmative handling, exceptions etc. in relation to IT. This includes building and maintaining adequate integrations for our applications to ensure a good flow and a nice experience for our end users. All in close collaboration with collaborators within the LEGO Group, the product team, the product manager, designer and lead engineer.The team is based in the new LEGO® Campus, offering an exciting, inspiring, and flexible work environment – and a little fun play as well!Do you have what it takes?The preferred candidate has a few years of experience as a developer with experience working with Swift and an openness to embrace new technologies, know the way around iOS app development and are not afraid to challenge existing codebases in this relation.To succeed in this role, the candidate ideally has competence within the following:
- Working with shop-floor applications, where downtime is critical.
- Another plus would be development in React or other frontend frameworks.
- Microservices architecture, event-driven architecture, containerization, and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- IT dependencies and integrations related to enterprise-software such as SAP and perhaps you have a degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or similar.
We seek dedication to the software engineering field. Ability to take ownership of feature delivery from idea to production.
