Job Description:Role Title: Solutions LeadLocation: Dublin, Republic of Ireland (Flexible hybrid working) Ireland.Employment Type: PermanentSummary of the role:Job Summary:We are seeking an experienced Solutions Lead to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Cloud Strategy, DevOps, Cloud Integration & APIs, Streaming services with a focus on designing and deploying scalable, secure, and compliant cloud solutions in the banking sector. This role is a Hands on roleKey Responsibilities:Test Automation Development:
– Design, implement, and maintain automated test cases using the Python Behave framework.
– Write reusable and modular BDD test scripts to ensure end-to-end functionality.API and Database Testing:
– Develop and execute REST API test cases for API calls & operations.
– Work with Teradata or similar databases to validate data integrity, ETL processes, and backend systems.Mainframe Systems Integration:
– Collaborate with teams to test mainframe-based applications.
– Use Zowe Explorer to interact with mainframe environments and automate workflows.Data Handling and Automation:
– Build automation scripts for Excel-based data processing and validation.
– Ensure data accuracy and consistency across various systems.Collaboration and Reporting:
– Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, and product managers, to understand requirements and test scenarios.
– Provide detailed test execution reports and raise defects with clear steps for reproduction.Framework Enhancement:
– Enhance the existing Python Behave framework by integrating new tools, libraries, and methodologies.
– Optimize test scripts for performance and maintainability.Required Skills:
– Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Python and its related libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Behave, Pytest).
– Frameworks: Hands-on experience with the Behave Framework for behaviour-driven development.
– APIs: Knowledge of REST API testing using tools like Postman, Swagger, or Python libraries (e.g., Requests).
– Databases: Expertise in Teradata and SQL for database testing and validation.
– Excel Automation: Experience with Python libraries like OpenPyXL, Pandas, or xlrd to automate Excel-related tasks.
– Mainframe Exposure: Basic understanding of mainframe systems and experience using Zowe Explorer for automation and testing.
– Version Control: Familiarity with Git/GitHub/Stash for code versioning and collaboration.Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively present complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Leadership and project management abilities.
