We have the best tools, equipment and people with competence and skillset to engineer, manufacture and install the cable systems.Welcoming you to the teamThe Project QHSER Department consists of 30 highly competent and diverse members. Our team enable the company in its ability to plan and execute projects with the right level of “Quality, Heath, Safety, Environment and Risk” (QHSER). The workplace is in Oslo or Halden and you will be reporting functionally to the Manager for the Project QHSER Team and operationally to the Project Manager.Getting a flying startTo succeed in the QHSER Project Team, which is part of the Turnkey & Offshore Project Execution section, you have experience from marine and/or land-based industry. You have worked in companies that are project driven, which have activities related to managing HSE aspects in projects. You also have experience working domestically or internationally. Your experience can be from any engineering discipline or project / line management. Passion for HSE is the major key to succeeding in this role as training and guidance will be given on the specific tasks. You are comfortable being a manager by ensuring quality and safety in the projects.How you make an impactYou will work in a project team as Project HSE Manager and facilitate all aspects of HSE in project from tender to project close-out as required. Typical disciplines in Nexans EPCI projects; engineering, cable manufacturing, testing, and marine / land installation. The primary objectives for the Project HSE Manager are to facilitate the development and implementation of the HSE activities, HSE objectives, Project HSE Plan, Project HSE Program and the Risk Management Procedure. This applies to the project line organization and is cascaded effectively through all phases of the project.Additionally, you will also take part in, but not limited to:Ensuring effective coordination and communication with Employer’s HSE Lead.Establishing and maintaining health and safety programs in accordance with Employer and Contract requirements.Ensuring the implementation of this Project HSE Management Plan and that its policies and objectives are communicated.Follow-up of suppliers, subcontractors, installation sites, and vessels.Auditing – Coordinate client audits and perform audits on suppliers / sub-contractorsYour starting point when you joinUniversity degree MSc, MBA, BSc or similar, preferably in engineering- or HSE discipline (relevant experience and / or HSE mindset can compensate).Preferably (not mandatory) HSE experience from marine and/or land-based industrySelf-propelled and ability to be demanding in order to implement and follow-up HSE requirementsFluent in Norwegian (preferred) and in English, written and oral.Excellent interpersonal, team player and communication skills.You strongly align and identify with Nexans’ values.Our growth CultureAt the individual level our growth culture is built on trust and collaboration.
