On behalf of a modern and well-equipped hospital in Østfold, Eastern Norway, we are currently recruiting a specialist in geriatrics for a full-time, permanent position.The hospital has one of the largest emergency departments in Norway and offers services across a wide range of medical fields – including maternity care, medical and surgical departments and psychiatry. The position is part of a well-established geriatrics department with a strong focus on quality of care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous development.Main responsibilities:

  • Assessment, treatment, and follow-up of geriatric patient
  • Collaborating with fellow consultants and interdisciplinary teams
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and development of services

Qualifications:

  • Authorization to practice as a medical doctor within the EU
  • EU certification as a specialist in geriatrics
  • Experience from hospital work is preferred
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to collaborate across disciplines
  • Proficiency in English and motivation to learn Norwegian, supported by our free language course

  • Able to work independently, while also demonstrating strong collaboration skills across professional groups
  • Responsible, decisive and adaptable, with the ability to handle a high-paced work environment
  • Motivated by contributing to the improvement of healthcare services
