Job description
Tasks and duties:In our department, you will have varied responsibilities and tasks, including:
- Planning and implementation of radiotherapy in collaboration with radiation physicists and radiation therapists
- Contribute to further development of our radiation therapy services, including implementation of new techniques and treatment protocols
- Concomitant medical oncological treatment and follow-up of patients
- Participation in multi-disciplinary teams/MDT meetings
- Instruction of physicians in training and other health personnel
- Opportunity to participate in clinical studies and research projects
Qualification requirements:
- Authorised specialist in oncology with documented experience or particular interest in radiotherapy
- Experience in planning and evaluation of radiation treatment is an advantage
- Interest in and/or experience with clinical studies
Language Requirements:
- You must speak fluent English
- Norwegian language skills are not required at the time of hiring. However, you are expected to learn Norwegian as part of your role. We will provide support and resources for Norwegian language training
Personal qualities:
- Good interpersonal skills, industrious and positive, enjoys challenges
- Ability to communicate clearly and adapt complex information
- Good professional evaluation skills and ability to work in a targeted and structured manner
- Ability to treat patients and carers professionally, respectfully and empathically
