Currently, we are expanding our team in Zurich and an exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and talented:(Sr) Financial AnalystWhat You’ll Work OnResponsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.Interact with management to prepare planning schedules and key monthly management reports, focusing on variance analysis, trends and key business issues.Provide reliable, timely and accurate financial information to enable effective decision-making. Apply appropriate logic and financial concepts to solve problems and recommend solutions.Work with a variety of functions and various levels of management to evaluate strategic initiatives and cost saving opportunities.Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic, trended and current business information.Monitor functional and departmental spending versus budget by highlighting material variances using system generated detail and trend reports.Prepare journal entries and assist in month end close as needed to ensure proper accounting at the functional and departmental level.Maintain data base (Dodeca) for reporting and Latest Best Estimate.Prepare and distribute financial reports by gathering and analyzing information related to current performance.Work with Business Partners on Capital and Project Expense.Prepare a wide range of financial services and deliverables, including ad-hoc management reporting, submission of financial schedules to Division/Corporate, coordination of planning schedules and meetings.Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Finance or similar qualificationMin 3-5 experience in financial planning and analysisSwiss Market Experience in any industry is essential for this roleFluent English and at least B1 German (preferably B2) is requiredStrong communication, presentation and teamwork skillsStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsAccuracy and attention to detailCapability to manage databases from different systems (SAP, Essbase, Excel, Dodeca, PowerBI)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to articulate financial results based on audienceAbility to manage tight deadlines in high-pressure situationsAbility to work effectively under uncertainties and flexibility to meet changing priorities in a proactive mannerInitiative and self-motivation in understanding business needsExcellent command of English is essential, German comprehension would be an assetExcellent knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and excellent proficiency with excelWorking at Abbott:At Abbott, you can do work that matters and help people to live a healthier and fuller life, grow your career, and learn, be your true self.
