Key Responsibilities: * Delivery Planning: * Plan efficient delivery routes to maximize efficiency and minimize travel time. * Prioritize deliveries based on urgency and distance. Vehicle Maintenance: * Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure it is safe and roadworthy. * Report any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel. Loading and Unloading: * Load and unload delivery vehicles safely and efficiently. * Take care to protect items during transportation. Customer Interaction: * Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner. * Provide excellent customer service, including delivering items to the correct address and answering any questions. Documentation: * Complete necessary paperwork, such as delivery notes and proof of delivery. * Maintain accurate records of deliveries and mileage. * Adherence to Regulations: * Comply with all relevant road traffic regulations and company policies. * Drive defensively and safely at all times. Ideal Candidate: * Valid Driver’s License: A clean driving record is essential. * Physical Fitness: Ability to lift heavy items. * Time Management Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines. * Customer Service Skills: Friendly and helpful demeanour. * Attention to Detail: Accurate and thorough in completing tasks. * Reliable and Punctual: Consistent attendance and timekeeping.
