Development of product lines radial, SMD capacitors and EDLCs for both non-automotive and automotive (according to IATF) specific requirements
Specification of production samples (from prototyping to series production), set-up, triggering and assessment of appropriate tests in the quality department
Participation in setup of change proposals and modification of production rules
Accompanying evaluation of currently applied materials, components and uncovering potential for standardization in existing product lines
Failur analysis (products, process and materials)
Products specifically tailored to customers’ requirements (“specials”)
Development of non-standard capacitors based on existing products and product lines
Application support & design-in
Analyses of competitors‘ products
Technical analyses of competitors‘ products
Benchmarking against Vishay products
Electrical and analyses measurement techniques
Measurement and assessment of relevant electrical, physical and chemical parameters of capacitors
Measurement of non-standard electrical parameters
In-depth analyses applying X-ray imaging, SEM, reflow soldering simulation and long-time testing applying acceleration factors like i.e. temperature, humidity, overvoltage and current
Manufacturing support (trouble shooting)
Advanced product analyes exceeding the standard measurement and analyses procedures
Interface to the operations department with regard to series production
Assessment of new materials (note: will be done by a newly introduced separate function in the short term)
Specification, appropriate testing, approval and introduction of new material:
Electrode foils (anodes and cathodes; aluminum and carbon foils)
Separator material (low impedance and high voltage)
Electrolytes (low and high temperatures)
Administrative handling of the related approval process
