Role: Supplier Quality SpecialistLocation: Remote with travel regular site visits on the South CoastRole Type: 6 months ongoingSalary: around 35 an hour depending on experiencePosition Summary:Our client, a huge player in the aerospace and aviation sphere, is seeking a (Supplier) Quality Specialist / Quality Engineer. This home-based role involves supporting key suppliers across the UK, mainly the South Coast, with regular travel required to supplier sites. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring product quality and compliance throughout the production process.Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct product verification and in-process inspections at supplier facilities.
• Review First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) in line with AS9102 standards.
• Assess and approve Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) submissions.
• Prepare and deliver performance metrics and quality data reports.
• Serve as a liaison between the client’s Programme and Engineering teams and supplier contacts.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Reporting to the UK Team Lead, candidates must possess a solid background in quality assurance or inspection, with the ability to interpret both 2D and 3D technical drawings, production documents, and manufacturing specifications.
• Practical experience in the production of composite, machined, and fabricated components is essential. Familiarity with the integration of electrical/electronic line replaceable units (LRUs), wiring looms, and fuel systems is highly advantageous.
• Proven ability to review FAIR documentation to AS9102 standards, clearly communicate any non-conformances, and work collaboratively to drive resolution.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Competency with computer-based systems for data input and reporting across various platforms.
