Job Description:Supply Chain AnalystOverview: We are excited to invite applications for the position of Supply Chain Analyst, a critical role within our dynamic purchasing team. This position is dedicated to enhancing our purchasing and inventory management processes to drive operational excellence in our warehouse. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in supply chain management, strategic purchasing, and warehouse optimization, contributing to our commitment to efficiency and quality.Key Responsibilities:Purchasing and Procurement:
- Analyse purchasing data and market trends to develop and implement optimized buying strategies.
- Source, negotiate, and establish long-term partnerships with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable terms.
- Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring ongoing communication and collaboration.
- Monitor supplier performance against contractual obligations and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to accurately forecast demand and effectively manage inventory levels.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee and enhance inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency.
- Implement industry best practices in inventory management to optimize stock levels and reduce waste.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies to maintain integrity.
- Analyse inventory turnover rates and develop actionable strategies for improvement.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of inventory management systems and tools.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within day-to-day operations to optimize inventory performance.
Warehouse Optimization:
- Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing warehouse efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in the design and execution of optimal warehouse layouts and operational processes.
- Collaborate with operations teams to streamline workflows, reducing lead times and enhancing service delivery.
- Analyse and report on key warehouse performance metrics to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supply chain analysis, purchasing, and inventory management.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret data and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to foster collaborative relationships.
- Experience working in a team-oriented environment with a focus on achieving common goals.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., APICS, CIPS) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and SAP ERP software.
- Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies to enhance operational efficiency.
