We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our secretarial team within the Rheumatology Service. The role provides a link between the Trust, the patient and their GP for patients/carers and other healthcare professionals. You will provide a comprehensive, efficient and responsive secretarial service to the medical staff and their teams.To work collaboratively with the clerical, secretarial and clinical teams to provide an accurate and effective secretarial service to the MSK Outpatient Department. The post holder will work with minimal supervision and be expected to work flexibly as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing a wide range of specific secretarial duties.Main duties of the jobThe successful candidate will be required to provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Clinical and nursing teams.You will need to have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team whilst maintaining a high standard of work. The ability to prioritise your workload and to know when to escalate issues is essential. You will need to be able to liaise with staff throughout the Trust at all levels including Consultants, Management, Nursing staff, GP’s, patients and patient relatives, dealing effectively and efficiently with their enquiries.To be successful in your application you will need to have a good standard of education, experience of an office based role, excellent verbal , written communication and typing skills and a clear understanding of patient confidentiality.About usYou will be working for an organisation which values and respects all of its staff and the community it serves. - NVQ/RSA or OCR at level 3, or, relevant secretarial, admin and clerical experience that would equate to level 3.

- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
- Experience of working with different computer software eg email, internet
- Audio Typing experience
- Experience of working with filing systems
