Job Description:We are currently looking for a driven and business minded Sustainability Analyst to complement our newly formed Sustainability Research team. The Sustainability Research team, consisting of three persons, is closely connected to the Credit and Equity Research teams at Danske Bank and is also part of the bank’s global Research team.About usAn essential part of the daily work in the Sustainability Research team is to produce and present company and sector reports on relevant environmental, social and governance (ESG) themes to local and international investors. Our reports aim to highlight the business relevance of the themes and their potential to create value for investors. In what ways can sustainability initiatives mitigate risks, improve profitability and create business value? Those are the types of questions we seek to answer.About the roleYou will collect and analyse sustainability data for key Nordic sectors and companies to assess their materiality and to identify key business drivers and investment themes. You will ensure high standards of data handling and sustainability modelling, including proper documentation of sources, data management and quality control procedures. You will contribute to identifying material ESG risks and business benefits of sustainability initiatives and how they can affect a company’s business and financial profile.Your profileYou should possess a keen interest in sustainability and a genuine enthusiasm for corporate analysis and financial markets. It is important that you enjoy teamwork and contribute to a positive working atmosphere. You should also possess a strong drive and creative mindset while enjoying proactive engagement. We would like you to share the target of being a Nordic benchmark in sustainability research and regard it as a stimulating challenge.Since the role involves customer interaction and relationships, it is important that you enjoy giving presentations and have great social skills. You need to enjoy working in a high-paced environment with varying tasks and, at least periodically, dealing with intense workloads and tight deadlines. Additionally, being open to travelling is necessary due to Danske Bank’s significant business activities in the rest of the Nordics and across Europe.

  • Relevant university degree
  • Three to five years of relevant working experience
  • Experience in sustainability initiatives in a corporate or financial environment is highly valued
  • Knowledge of financially relevant mathematics and programming is a plus
  • Deep proficiency in both Swedish and English, and other languages would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical skills
