Read here more about ourAs Smart Products System Architect you will implement innovation in companies via consultancy and projects:You will initiate and oversee R&D projects, from defining the problem to full implementation.You will help companies develop a system architecture. This can involve the following domains: embedded systems, software engineering, connectivity, Internet of Things (IoT), sensors, computer vision, signaling and machine learning, but also more classic domains such as structural dynamics and thermodynamics.You will advise companies on their innovations and will seek out modern and effective solutions, whose economic feasibility you will also examine.You will build a knowledge network within industry, the research community and Sirris and its partners, and will launch new initiatives with companies.You will keep up with the latest technological developments in the research and business community in the above-mentioned domains.You will share knowledge with industry via workshops, seminars, masterclasses and social media.What do we expect from you?You have a Master (or PhD) in Engineering in a relevant discipline, or a Master (or PhD) in Physics or Information Technology, plus 10 years of experience in an engineering environment.You are familiar with one or more of the following domains – sensors, signal processing, machine learning, embedded software & hardware, connectivity and cloud infrastructure – and you want to broaden your knowledge in these domains.You have at least five years’ experience in an R&D environment in a few relevant domains and are able to contribute with respect to the architecture of smart products/intelligent systems.You are able to interact with industry/stakeholders substantively and strategically.You can tune in to customers’ requirements and work to find solutions.You are a good communicator and can be persuasive.You are analytically minded and can think conceptually.You like working in a team and feel at home in an environment where a large degree of autonomy is expected.You have good project management skills and are able to give junior team members appropriate guidance.You enjoy working in an innovative and collaborative environment.You speak fluent Dutch/French and English.What do we offer you?At Sirris, innovation and collaboration are key.
