About the departmentYou will be part of UNEEG medical’s Software Development team, consisting of 12 experienced team members. The team is responsible for the complete infrastructure that supports the collection and transportation of EEG data from patients to hospitals. The team works with various software domains, including embedded systems, cloud solutions in Azure, mobile apps on iOS/Android, and local PC applications. As a System Engineer, you will have a cross-functional role, working across multiple domains and supporting the necessary technical solutions to ensure the optimal functioning of the company’s products. About the positionAs a System Engineer at UNEEG medical, you will play a central role in the development of innovative solutions for epilepsy treatment. You will be responsible for defining and managing system and software requirements while ensuring compliance with international standards and regulatory requirements such as ISO 13485 and IEC 62304. Your focus will be on system architecture and risk management while ensuring adherence to design control principles. The role requires a solid technical foundation, particularly in software development, system design, and a deep understanding of the regulatory frameworks for medical devices. Responsibilities

  • System and Software Requirements: Lead the process of gathering, defining, and managing system and software requirements, ensuring compliance with medical standards such as ISO 13485 and IEC 62304.
  • System Architecture: Develop scalable, modular, and maintainable system designs with a strong focus on software architecture and seamless hardware-software integration.
  • Design Control: Ensure adherence to design control principles, including design inputs/outputs, design verification/validation.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Contribute to ensuring that all systems and solutions meet the necessary regulatory requirements and standards for medical devices.
  • Cybersecurity: Contribute to maintaining strong cybersecurity for medical devices in compliance with standards such as IEC 81001-5-1:2021 and AAMI TIR57.

Qualifications

  • Experience in software development and architecture, with knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or embedded systems languages.
  • Experience with design and requirements management for medical devices, including familiarity with relevant standards such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, and IEC 81001-5-1:2021.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity in medical devices and experience with design control principles.
  • Experience working across various architectural components such as embedded systems, cloud solutions, and hardware-software integration.
