Run what runs the world.This Position reports to: Manager Global Engineering DepartmentYour role and responsibilitiesFor our traction and heavy electric vehicles business in Untersiggenthal, Switzerland, we are looking for a committed and passionate manager (m/f/d) for our Global Control Engineering team. In this challenging role, you will manage a team of engineers with expert knowledge in control software for traction applications and heavy electric vehicles.Your team, in close collaboration with local engineering teams around the globe, plays a pivotal role in the project execution and has an important influence on the customer satisfaction. • • Leading a team of up to 10 engineers in technical, personal and entrepreneurial aspects as well as training, coaching and mentoring the team members to release their full potential
• • Ensuring development and maintenance of standardized software for traction applications and heavy electric vehicles and the continuous resource planning, adequate staffing and introduction of new members to the team
• • Identifying and driving continuous improvements within the team and at the interfaces with other departments and disciplines, and supporting selected customer projects personally
• • Establishing and maintaining close collaboration with other control software and HIL test teams in Engineering and R&D to drive processes and technologies in the same direction

Qualifications for the role

• Bachelor, Master or PhD in electrical, software or mechanical engineering, preferably with focus on control software for power converters
• At least 5 years work experience in a technical customer focused area
• Experience in innovative drive technology, ideally in the field of railway, e-bus or heavy electric vehicle propulsion
• First leadership experience (team or project lead)
• Project management experience advantageous
• Strong level of self-motivation and structured approach to work
• Leader and team player with excellent communication skills, both in English and German
