Tenure-Track Assistant Professor(s) Position in Economics/Macroeconomics

Job Description:The Department of Economics at the University of Southern Denmark invites applications for one or more tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in Economics/Macroeconomics, preferably with focus on international finance, monetary and financial history, and historical perspectives on growth and fluctuations. We especially encourage macroeconomists who integrate long-term perspectives into their research to apply for the positions.Application deadline: 1 March 2025. The starting date is flexible, but we hope to welcome our new colleague(s) 15 August 2025.About the DepartmentThe Department of Economics is an international department with a strong tradition for excellence in research and teaching within the various areas of economics. The research, teaching, and dissemination activities are organized within four platforms: Econometrics and Data Science, Economic History, Macroeconomics, and Microeconomics. The Assistant Professor(s) will be affiliated with one of these platforms. A more detailed description of the department and its platforms can be found onIt is the aim of the department to conduct and disseminate top-tier research, evidenced by publications in distinguished journals, international conference presentations, external funding, and impactful dissemination. Furthermore, the department emphasizes high-quality research-based teaching using the most relevant teaching methods to enhance students’ learning.The department oversees undergraduate and graduate programmes in Economics and Mathematics-Economics at the Odense campus. It is also responsible for economics courses at different campuses at the University of Southern Denmark with activities in Odense and Sønderborg.
