Job RequirementsRole purposeBe responsible for designing and implementing strategic solutions for managing and maintaining the IT systems and software used in gas turbine engine and component test facilities. The role offers opportunities for developing skills, knowledge and experience in this exciting industry.Work ExperiencePrincipal responsibilities/accountabilities

• Work closely with key suppliers to ensure that the IT & OT systems installed and used on the test facilities are fit for purpose and align with customer IT policies.
• Ensure customer test networks are resilient to cyber security risks and adhere to the latest national and international standards
• Interface with customer’s Group IT to ensure alignment on policies and toolsets where possible

Experience, knowledge, qualifications essential to carry out this role:

• Qualified to degree level in Computer Science, Engineering or HND with appropriate industrial experience
• Experience of working within an OEM engineering project environment
• Experience in:

• preparing and delivering technical reports and documents
• generating test requirements and undertaking acceptance testing
• cost-benefit analysis and business case development
• Self-motivated team player, with good interpersonal, planning and execution skills
• Ability to:

• Quickly understand problems and set priorities
• Actively lead various tasks and issues while continuously working towards improvements

Additional skills/experience advantageous but not essential:

• Understanding of cyber security and the latest toolsets and standards
• Familiarity with one or more programming languages such as JAVA, C++, Python or SQL
• Awareness of the latest IT industry capabilities and driving the use of standard tools and processes in the systems arena
• Experience in Dev Ops and Agile/Scrum working practices
• An appreciation of Systems Engineering approaches
