Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an enthusiastic, caring, and experienced Therapy Assistant to be part of their Community Neuro-Rehabilitation Service; facilitating the early supported discharge of stroke patients and providing rehabilitation to patients with a neurological condition.Main duties of the jobBased in the community, the successful applicant will work within a comprehensive multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Clinical Psychologists, Therapy Assistants, Nurse and Admin.The post holder will be a committed member of the coordinated and forward-thinking team delivering a service to facilitate patients’ successful transition from the acute Stroke Unit into the community setting and also work with patients with acute and long term neurological conditions to provide rehabilitation in the home environment within the Stockport area.Support is provided through the opportunity to work directly with experienced and specialist clinicians across the team.About usWe hold a unique position in the Stockport community as the provider of healthcare and we are one of its largest employers.Our mission is to make a difference every day. This cost will be deducted from your first Trust salaryIn addition to this it will be a condition of your employment that you will join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
