One or two students.Objective: This project aims to explore future concepts and possibilities for logistics and infrastructure solutions related to electrification at mining and/or construction sites.Background:
Mining operations increasingly require machines and vehicles powered by electricity rather than fossil fuels. This transition is not only vital for global sustainability but also improves health and safety for workers in mines. However, this shift presents unique challenges, such as managing charging times, adapting infrastructure, finding sustainable energy sources, and navigating the complexities of new technologies. How can we optimize logistics around charging, address the impacts of electrification on equipment design, and overcome the infrastructure challenges at mining or construction sites?Mission:
Your mission in this project is to explore and develop concepts and proposals on how to address electrical logistics and infrastructure challenges in mines or at construction sites, aligned with Epiroc’s offerings.Qualifications:
To succeed in this project, you should be passionate about exploring and conceptualizing new and future solutions with a keen interest in technology. Preferably, you are studying Industrial Design or a related field.In your application, please include a brief pitch outlining your approach to solving this project.
