If you are ready to make a difference, this role is your gateway to a world of opportunities!In our department Drug Device Combination Products, we share a “challenge accepted” mindset and are guided by our winning behaviors of simplification, collaboration, and accountability to achieve our goals.Your new roleAs a Senior Scientist in topicals primary packaging, you will be responsible for leading and participating in development projects and life cycle management activities on primary packaging. You will challenge existing practices and develop proposals to enhance existing processes and practices.Your key responsibilities:

• Selecting and developing container closure systems for topicals and oral products
• Analyzing of chemical and physical interaction test on primary packaging materials
• Writing regulatory file for primary packaging materials
• Managing product life cycle
• Evaluating and reporting of complex data e.g. test results
• Writing protocols, reports, specifications, rationales and detailed summaries

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:

• A master’s degree or Ph.D. within the field of pharmacy, chemistry, physics or other related areas
• At least 5 years of industry experience with primary packaging
• Strong experience in assessing extractables and leachables
• Experience in risk assessment related to primary packaging, including nitrosamine and elemental impurity concerns
• Understanding of regulatory requirements for packaging materials and ensuring with regional standards (EMA, FDA)
• Experience in writing and maintaining regulatory submission documents related to packaging (including responses to Health Authority inquiries)
• Ability to evaluate and manage changes related to packaging components
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
• Strong collaboration skills
• Experience in working with CDMO’s would be an asset
