About the Role:Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for driving progress and innovation? We are seeking a Finland Tribe Leader to join our team and act as an outward ambassador, removing impediments to tribe progression towards quarterly delivery targets. This senior leadership position is integral to both the country leadership team and the central Products Management team.As the Tribe lead, you will be responsible for defining and delivering the Tribe’s key performance indicators, including engagement, efficiency, quality, and systems availability. You will oversee the software development of all payroll and reward products, as well as transversal assets introduced within Finland and, occasionally, the wider Nordic tribes. This encompasses payroll and reward, integration technologies, core HR, workforce management, and other assets defined by our Portfolio teams. Your role will involve managing priorities in alignment with business stakeholders to ensure the Tribe’s objectives are met.In addition to these responsibilities, you will interact with other tribes to achieve the Tribe’s business goals, acting as the intersection in a matrix organization and collaborating closely with the Portfolio team to define what to deliver in each SDWorx Market. This includes driving the development of central and country assets for Finland. Beyond the Finland Tribe focus, there will also be opportunities to lead a transversal asset for the organization, which involves developing a product vision and strategy in close collaboration with our portfolio team.If you are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding leadership role, apply now to become our Finland Tribe Leader and help shape the future of our organization.Your Responsibilities:Managing the product portfolio:

  • Manage the product portfolio together with your stakeholders: Define vision for the Tribe and its products working closely with portfolio and country leadership team
  • Working closely with your product manager/tribe architect make product lifecycle decision (piloting, scaling decommissioning etc)
  • Define and enforce quality standards (including focus on non – functional requirements, security compliance, audit compliance)
  • Interact with the Tribe Architect to understand the roadmap for the product technology including identification of technical debt and proactive management of technology upgrades including hosting strategy and cost reduction.

Planning and prioritising the work:

  • Working with your product manager or product owners you will assist in planning and prioritising the work for the tribe; Synchronise the product vision with Product Owners, Quarterly business planning in the Tribe, preparing a Quarterly Business Review (QBR)
  • Lead the product team to design and maintain the roadmap for the Tribe including product lifecycle decisions (piloting, scaling, decommissioning, etc.), and software development (IP creation)
  • Manage expectation of all stakeholders in market teams and wider country teams in relation to priority decisions and delivery/progress
  • Managing partners / vendors e.g., regarding outsourced services, ensuring alignment with all business stakeholders and be a point of escalation
  • Work with portfolio to define priorities and collaborate with other transversal tribes to deliver connectivity and utilise the wider group assets

Managing the Tribe:

  • Build the organization required to deliver the tribe goals including the Tribe composition (hub v’s local) and headcount (based on budget) in line with Product Strategy
  • Be a role model servant leader for your tribe and the people coach for your direct reports including (but not limited to) – Agile coach (people leader for squads), Product Manager(s) or Product Owner(s), Tribe Architect (s)
  • The role should be located in Finland and allow for regular office working in the Helsinki office.
  • The role will require regular travel within Europe and also outside Europe to our non-European hub locations.

Align with the Global organisation:

  • Ensure coordination between business stakeholders and be part of Finland senior leadership team (aka Market Team).
  • Align with Product strategy on all key metrics (compliance, security, key KPIs, hub usage)
  • Point of escalation for anything Product related in Finland
  • Transversal asset role – defining strategy on our transversal assets this will include close alignment with our Portfolio team
  • Managing partners / vendors e.g. outsourced services

Your Profile:

  • Technology and product expert with senior leadership experienced gained in multiple sectors within large global/international companies.
  • Extensive experience operating and leading teams in an Agile environment
  • Substantive people management experience with large product development teams in a multi-country/international organisation
  • Several years of experience with responsibility for large technology projects including transformational change
  • Ideally a knowledge of wider technology concepts including Automated Intelligence, data science, data and analytics, business intelligence reporting, connectivity/middleware, mobile app development, authentication software, Core HR technologies etc
  • A pragmatic, enabling and motivational leader who will inspire and engage his/her team(s) to deliver exceptional products for our customers
  • Must be fluent in English and Finnish
