SMART Recovery is looking for volunteer facilitators for our self-help group in Hørsholmsgade, Copenhagen.The Danish Foundation for Social Responsibility pays for your education and training.Would you like to make a difference? Are you empathetic, caring and development-oriented?Do you want to work with vulnerable and at-risk people with addictions of all kinds and perhaps their relatives?Do you dream of working in substance abuse treatment and the field of vulnerable and at-risk populations?Then here is a great opportunity to upgrade your CV, your communication and leadership skills, and learn how to create a trusting space where people can support each other and grow. Although the position is unpaid, it gives you experience and skills that you can use in all aspects of working with people in the future.Smart Recovery is looking for volunteer facilitators for our self-help group for people with addiction in Hørsholmsgade. You should expect to be able to set aside approx. 2 hours per week for the group meeting, with the possibility of a rolling schedule in the long term. We expect you to be able to complete the online training, which lasts 20-30 hours, within 2 months. and that you facilitate the self-help group for at least six months.The meetings are for people with all types of addictions and use the SMART Recovery concept, which is a scientifically structured self-help program for all types of addiction and uses cognitive tools to create positive change in the individual.The tools are similar to those used in the treatment system and are very effective. We work well together with the drug & alcohol treatment center and the group meetings are held in the drug and abuse treatmentcenters facilities.
