(Save the Children)DO YOU HAVE A FEW EVENINGS A MONTH TO HELP THE SMALLEST CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES IN RED CHILDREN’S TODDLERS?Help create presence, community and good experiences for young children and their families in your local area.As a volunteer in Save the Children’s Toddler Clubs, you will have the opportunity to make a concrete difference for children aged 0-6, their parents and any siblings. Over a period of 3-4 months, you will help plan and carry out pleasant and meaningful activities for a small group of families with young children – and at the same time introduce them to the many opportunities available in the local area.Your efforts help strengthen the role of parents and provide both children and adults with positive experiences in a safe and inclusive community. Together we work to promote well-being and more equal conditions for children in vulnerable positions.We are looking for volunteers for clubs in Nakskov, starting in week 39. The toddler club meets on Thursdays from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM over 12 weeks. There will be a mandatory start-up meeting and training day before the start.You can be either a club leader or an activity volunteer: Lead the volunteer team, ensure good cooperation and onboarding, distribute tasks, liaise with the secretariat and call meetings. It is expected that the club leader can participate at least 8-9 times, but preferably more.Activity volunteer: Plans activities, is responsible for practical operations at club evenings, is in contact with families and food suppliers, and ensures access and cleaning of the room. Activity volunteers must participate a minimum of 7 times, but preferably more.ABOUT THE TODDLERS’ CLUBS:The toddler clubs are an offer for families with young children in vulnerable positions, where they can receive support and sparring from professionals to ensure the well-being and development of the family’s youngest children. The efforts are aimed at the entire family, and the activities are developed with the involvement of the parents.
