We’re looking for a VP of Engineering to join our Product Development team in Helsinki or Dublin. You can also work fully remotely from Poland, Spain or the UK.Supermetrics is the world’s leading Marketing Intelligence Platform, serving over 15,000 marketers globally. We are entering our next exciting phase of growth and are looking for a seasoned VP of Engineering to lead our 70+ global team of Engineers. This role offers both strategic and operational focus and requires a product and customer-first mindset to deliver our ambitious roadmap at a pace and with high quality.Your day-to-day work and responsibilities include…Shaping our engineering strategy
- Collaborate closely with Product Development leadership to craft a vision and strategy that drives top-quality software development.
- Lead and refine engineering processes, fostering a smooth, efficient, and impactful development experience.
- Build strong partnerships with our internal teams, leadership, and external partners to ensure Product Development is a key driver of business success.
- Work with leadership to design an organizational structure that aligns with our growth and evolving needs.
- Implement change management processes that ensure stability and reliability, from product development through to production.
Empowering & growing our teams
- Hire, mentor, and nurture a team of talented engineers, helping them thrive in their roles.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, transparency, and security, where collaboration and accountability are front and center.
- Set and track team goals in collaboration with Product Development leadership, ensuring your team has the resources they need to succeed.
- Mentor managers, supporting them in their own professional growth and creating an environment of continuous learning and feedback.
Driving product delivery
- Lead engineering teams to deliver our ambitious roadmap with speed and excellence.
- Develop processes that work for distributed teams across multiple locations.
- Use data-driven KPIs to monitor team effectiveness and continually improve our development process based on feedback.
- Foster consistent use of our software development standards across teams.
- Keep projects on track, ensuring that product roadmaps are delivered on time and within scope.
- Communicate the progress of strategic projects to the board, executive team, and wider company.
- Engage directly with customers when necessary to provide updates and resolve any concerns.
What makes you a great fit
- A degree in Computer Science (or similar) with 15+ years of experience, including managing technical teams.
- Strong understanding of large-scale SaaS applications, with bonus points for MarTech experience.
- Excellent leadership skills combined with business acumen, with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams.
- The ability to be hands-on when needed, including conducting code reviews.
- A solid grasp of data security practices and how to implement them.
- Experience balancing both operational and strategic responsibilities to deliver on product roadmaps.
- Expertise in Agile development methodologies.
- Strong decision-making skills with a history of making an organization-wide impact.
- Experience managing and mentoring teams, with a focus on fostering collaboration and driving innovation.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to bring diverse stakeholders together.
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with building and managing distributed or remote engineering teams.
