Warehouse Manager – DublinMy client a leading industry player are seeking to hire an experienced Warehouse Manager who can come in and transform their goods inwards, redesign and optimising the space and stock control procedures, , additionally taking a lead in stock control on manufacturing floor, (Setting up Kanban) – ultimately a complete transformation.The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, ensuring efficient stock management, driving transformative warehouse initiatives, and applying lean manufacturing principles. This role requires strategic leadership in managing staff, optimizing warehouse layouts, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards, all while promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.Key Responsibilities1. Warehouse Operations Management

  • Supervise all warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory control, order fulfillment, and dispatch.
  • Develop and implement strategies for efficient use of warehouse space and maintaining an organized work environment.

2. Stock Control

  • Establish and enforce robust inventory management procedures to maintain accuracy and integrity.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations to ensure optimal inventory levels.
  • Analyse inventory trends to minimize excess stock and prevent stockouts.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Manufacturing teams to establish Kanban systems in the warehouse and on the manufacturing floor.
  • Champion a clean floor policy within manufacturing areas.

3. Warehouse Transformation

  • Lead projects focused on warehouse automation and technology integration to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and redesign warehouse layouts and processes for improved space utilization and productivity, incorporating advanced equipment and smart technologies.

4. Lean Manufacturing Principles

  • Implement lean methodologies to eliminate waste, streamline workflows, and improve warehouse productivity.
  • Train and inspire team members to adopt lean principles, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

5. Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and manage warehouse staff, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and expectations.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support professional growth within the team.

6. Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure all warehouse operations adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and provide training to uphold a secure and compliant work environment.

7. Reporting and Analysis

  • Prepare and present reports on key performance metrics, inventory levels, and operational efficiency.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to senior management through data analysis.

Skills and QualificationsEducation

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years in warehouse management, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience in leading warehouse transformation projects and implementing lean manufacturing initiatives.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
  • Strong understanding of stock control, lean manufacturing practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Leadership Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with various stakeholders.

Analytical Skills

  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and expertise in data-driven decision-making.
  • Experience with performance metrics and reporting tools.

Certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Forklift operator certification (if applicable).
