Together with our customers and suppliers, we do everything for healthier animals.You will lead the warehouse operation team for our morning shift (07:00-14:00) in accordance with the needs and demands of the customers, ensuring the meeting of targets as well as compliance in the workplace while taking accountability for issues as they arise.Responsibilities:Act as people leader, making sound decisions to ensure the success of the shift. This will include daily reporting, workflow and resource management and customer service.Drive Accuracy, Delivery on time and fulfilment by leading your area.Ensure KPI targets for your area are achieved.Plan the layout of goods within the warehouse and organise equipment availability.Comply with job relevant Companies Practice Standards.Understand the Companies standard operating procedures and plan the training of staff, regularly monitoring their performance and progress, reviewing and providing regular feedback, ensuring any change requirements are implemented in line with protocol.Maintain, monitor and act where appropriate to ensure a safe working environment for colleagues, visitors, and contractors on site. Where appropriate, escalate any health and safety issues to the Team Manager and H&S representative.Ensure that all processes within your area of responsibility have an appropriate SOP that have been designed to reflect an in-depth risk analysis to ensure that the tasks are carried out by trained and competent persons, to deliver a safety and quality conscious outcome.Contribute to the development and implementation of changes and new initiatives as appropriate.Implement, and evolve KPI’s to the ever-changing requirements of the business.Conduct team briefings and deployments to update staff on best practices and expectations.Oversee the operating expenditure of the department to ensure expenditure is in line with budget while working closely with the Team Manager & Financial Planning team to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting for the department for future successive financial years.As a member of the operations management team, support the development of the operation and the links to other business departments to drive quality and customer first ways of working..Requirements:A background in operations/warehouse distribution and an understanding of good process control systems.Previous experience leading a diverse workforce is desirableExcellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and influencing skills – including inspiring others towards achievement and personal goals, empowering through involvement, delegation and trust, and ability to give and receive feedback.Great people person who develops great relationships, fosters collaboration with other functions & departments.Strong decision making skills and high sense of responsibilitySystems and Data orientated, skilled with Microsoft Excel/Access for analysis and report buildingContinuous Improvement mindset, expanding areas of interest/expertise for opportunities and networks to learn and share.#LI-RM1What Cencora offersBenefit offerings outside the US may vary by country and will be aligned to local market practice.
