We are looking for a Web Developer for our Care team to maintain and further develop our clients’ online services.Evermade Care is our support team responsible for the daily operation, maintenance and small-scale development of our clients’ web services and online stores. Care plays an important role in our business, as the team ensures that our customers get the full advantage of our partnership. Care works with clients like Porsche, Valio, Alan Wake, the Finnish Heart Association and the Finnish Film Foundation, just to name a few.In this role, you work together with our stellar Care team to further develop our clients’ online services. You provide excellent customer service, plan and implement new features and most importantly, help our clients to succeed. Your daily work will consist of communicating with our clients and solving tickets using Freshdesk, as well as working with our server infrastructure. Previous experience of server infrastructure will help you but is not required for this role – as long as you’re interested in diving into the world of servers, you’re in the right place!We are not just looking for someone who can code, we’re looking for someone who can bring their own creative flair and problem-solving skills to the table. We hope that you have a passion for trying out new technologies and ideas on how to make our current ones better. Our technology stack includes WordPress, React, JavaScript, PHP, SCSS, Webpack, and Docker, among others. With the guidance of your supervisor, the expertise of your lead developer, and the support of our dedicated service manager and all the other members of the Care team, you’ll have all the backup you need to succeed. Plus, you’ll have access to our developer community of around 30 talented individuals who are always ready to lend you a hand.Here’s what we’re looking for:– Proven experience in website development, with a particular focus on WordPress
– A solid understanding of PHP and a strong command of HTML, CSS, SCSS, and JavaScript. Strong familiarity with React-framework and Gutenberg are as important.
– Some knowledge of Linux, including package management (apt and Composer), experience with nginx server environment and Docker, Bash and Python
– Experience with CI/CD tools and development tools like npm, gulp, webpack and git
– A genuine team player, who can also work independently and handle customer requests proactively.
– Excellent communication skills – you communicate effectively with both team members and clients, and keep them updated on progress
– Willingness to ask for help when needed and to share your knowledge with others
– A passion for learning and professional development
– Proficiency in using AI for creative problem solving
