We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Haringey to assist with the appointment of a Welfare Project Manager, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.Rate of Pay: £277.13 – £381.23 per DaySummary:The Welfare Project Manager will lead a 3-month project to review and improve the Councils approach to Tackling Inequality. This includes assessing the current Financial Support Team’s functions and designing an improved service model to support residents facing financial hardship.Responsibilities:
- Lead the review of the Councils Financial Support Team and service delivery.
- Develop an integrated service model to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Establish joint reporting mechanisms on outputs and outcomes.
- Conduct a comprehensive review of inflows/outflows, operational capacity, and service demand.
- Identify opportunities for improved data usage to enhance service efficiency.
Experience:
- Proven experience in project management, delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Experience in planning project activities, resource allocation, and progress monitoring.
- Strong background in service redesign and process improvement for better cost efficiency.
- Track record of delivering projects in complex organizations.
- Experience in multi-disciplinary collaboration with senior managers and partner organizations.
Essentials:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with various stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Understanding of governance and accountability in local government.

- This role requires a basic DBS
