The leading infrastructure recruitment specialist are looking for a Workshop Supervisor, to join a global leader in construction sector for one of Norway’s technical infrastructure projects involving roads, tunnels, bridges, drill and blast works.This is a great opportunity to work for a significant construction company, working alongside some of the most experienced specialists in the industry to continue developing and further you career.Job Role / Responsibilities
- Managing workshop works. Scheduling maintenances and repairs. Organizing materials reuquired for the purpose such as spare parts, tools, consumables etc.
- Scheduling duties of the mechanics and keeping records.
- Evaluating the machineries and working to improve the performance.
- Ensure application of HSE rules related to own and subcontractor employees, with the goal of minimizing risks.
- Liase with technical, procurement, cost control, contract, HSE, permits departments to ensure the goals of the project are met.
- Drawing up activity plans in line with work schedule and contactual requirements.
- Dimensioning resources (manpower, equipment, material) for performing the project activities in timely and quality manner.
- Engage potential subcontractor companies and assess their technical capabilities and potential.
- Focus on, and facilitate good relations with the project partners.
ProjectThe infrastructure project is based on the West Coast of Norway and consist of the construction of several tunnels, bridges and highways, the construction has just started and is estimated to last for at least 3 years.Requirements
- Maintenance and repair of heavy machinery
- Workshop management min. 2 years
- Knowledge of tunnel equipment and machinery min. 5 years
- Experience in Norway
- Technical Master’s degree
