Job description

We currently have a vacancy for an XML/XBRL Data Reporting Specialist fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on-site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated with the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.Your tasks:

  • Understanding the XBRL development / analysis / testing for the data collections and developing supporting documentation;
  • Investigating, diagnosing and resolving bugs and incidents of Taxonomies and related production applications in XBRL;
  • Provision of quality plans, quality assessments, quality control tests evaluations and service level agreements associated with information system infrastructure services or projects;
  • Understanding of security studies, security assessments and other specific security matters related to ICT infrastructures;
  • Providing performance review related to the on-going Data Collections and communicate it accordingly to the project team.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in IT or relevant domain, combined with relevant professional experience of 13 years;
  • Expert knowledge of logical & physical structure of XML documents, CSV and Json documents;
  • Strong XML parsing & processing experience (e.g., XSD, Xlink);
  • Knowledge of the XBRL taxonomy;
  • Experience and knowledge in open-source applications for XML;
  • Understanding of relational databases and SQL query capabilities;
  • Knowledge in one or more domains of the study required for the function (e.g., quality control, security, infrastructure, development language, knowledge of technology required, requirements analysis, performance analysis, a specific technical domain like vulnerability testing, business process modelling);
  • Strong skills in Excel and in analytic tools (e.g., Tableau, PowerBI);
  • Experience with tools for supporting XBRL and its extension features (e.g. Arelle, XWand software, etc.) will be considered an asset;
  • Excellent command of the English language.
